Q.How do I list my cattle, embryos or semen with The Angus Network?
A. Create an account or log in with an existing account. Once logged in click on the "Add a Listing" link and follow the steps. Once the listing is complete you will need to make your payment via a credit card. Your listing is automatically added to the live web site once the transaction is complete.

Q. Who describes the cattle, embryos or semen?
A. The seller will submit a written description and pictures for each listing. The Angus Network will review for accuracy and make any necessary changes or corrections.

Q. Who pays the seller?
A. Once the funds have been collected from the buyer, payment will be made directly to the seller by The Angus Network within 10 business days.

Q. Do I have to register to list my cattle?
A. Yes. In order to provide a reliable, efficient service we require that you register with The Angus Network. Your information is for The Angus Network'€™s use exclusively and WILL NOT be sold or used for any other purpose other then that of The Angus Network.

Q: Can I place a listing if I don't have a computer or Internet?

Consignment Questions:

Q. What does it cost to list with The Angus Network?
A. A 60-day listing is $25, which includes a photo. The Angus Network reserves the right to reject any listing that does not meet the requirements outlined by The Angus Network. Any listing that is not in compliance with the requirements will receive a full refund.

Q. Why does The Angus Network take a commission?
A. The Angus Network takes a commission for the facilitation of bringing buyer and seller together. A large portion of the commission is then put towards national advertising campaigns to promote the network on the Web and in traditional media. This also includes attending sales and ranch visits promoting the cattle listed on The Angus Network site. The commission rate is as follows:

  • 5% commission taken on all live animals and pregnancies.
  • 10% commission taken on all fresh and frozen embryos and semen.
  • Commission is not taken on any single order under $500.

    Q. What are the requirements to sell cattle on The Angus Network?
    A. All listings must be 100% Angus. Commercial Angus & 50% Angus Cattle may be accepted only with specific permission from The Angus Network. The Angus Network's goal is to provide a Web site with quality cattle as well as forge sound business relations with well-respected, honest Angus breeders. In light of this, The Angus Network reserves the right to reject any listing for any reason.

Q.What happens once an offer is placed on my cattle, embryos or semen?
A. Once an offer is made you, as the seller, will receive a call and/or e-mail from The Angus Network with the offer that has been made. You may choose to accept, reject or counter the offer. If a a full price offer is made you, as the seller, are obligated to sell that listing.The Angus Network will contact the buyer with the status of the offer. When an offer is accepted, the buyer is required to make payment to The Angus Network within 5 business days. Once payment is received, you will be given the contact information to arrange shipment with the buyer. You will receive payment less commission within 10 business days after buyer has paid.

Q. How do I place an offer?
A. To place an offer you must have an account set up. Once you are logged in using your username and password you can submit an offer by clicking on the "€œMake Offer"€ button. Enter the amount you would like to offer and place the offer.

Q. Can I withdraw an offer?
A. If you wish to withdraw your offer please call Chris Jeffrey, 406-962-3310.

Q. How do I know if my offer was accepted?
A. The listing will be marked as "€œOffer Accepted"€ when you log into your account. You will also receive an e-mail with confirmation of sale and payment information as well as receive a call from an Angus Network Representative.

Q. What is the procedure after I have purchased a lot?
A. Once an offer is accepted you will receive an email confirmation as well as a phone call from The Angus Network. The email will provide the final sale details. Payment may be made online, by cashiers check or by personal checks. The Angus Network must receive payment within 5 business days. Once payment has been made and cleared the bank the seller will call and arrange the delivery.

Q. Who is responsible for delivery costs?
A. The delivery time, location and cost will be negotiated between the buyer and seller once the transaction is completed.. The Angus Network does not facilitate shipping.
